The Beijing International Horticultural Expo Is Undergoing A Half-load Stress Test with 30,000 Visitors for the First Time

On April 13, a half-load stress test of 30,000 people was carried out in the Beijing International Horticultural Expo Park. This is the first time that the Park welcomes ordinary visitors. It is of great significance to the operation of the Park. Organized visitors are used to carry out normal operation, to feel the actual state of having visitors, and to test the reception adaptability, smooth management process, organizational ability and equipment operation of the Park. Tim Briercliffe, secretary-general of the International Association of Horticultural Producers, also came to the Park to guide the survey and gave high praise to the preparation of the Expo.

In order to arouse and mobilize the sense of responsibility of the host of “Yanqing is our home, the Expo depends on everyone” in Yanqing District, and to provide comprehensive services to ensure the success of the Expo, the observation group of “Yanqing villagers” organized by Yanqing District, the host of Expo, is the main component of the stress test visitors. Nearly 30,000 visitors visited the Park in Beijing by bus, self-driving and walking.

The 78 entrance passages of No. 1, No. 2, No. 5 and No. 6 ticket gater at the drill site are all open to ensure the smooth entry of visitors. In order to meet the consumption demand of 30,000 people, such as shopping and dining, all the businesses in the Park that have already met the opening conditions have been put into trial operation. In addition, in order to fully meet the needs of the visitors to take the electric sightseeing car, 30 battery cars were put into operation on the day of the exercise to serve the visitors. A total of 555 volunteers from Century College of Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications(Yanqing) and Yanqing District Youth League Committee were organized at the stress test site. They were divided into 18 business departments and 100 job sites according to their posts. They mainly provided visitors with eight types of services: inquiry service, order guidance, reception assistance, language translation, media service, work coordination of organizers, visiting assistance and activity organization assistance.

In order to find out the insufficiency of Park operation and management services from the perspective of visitors and promote the continuous improvement of operation and management service quality, some visitors participating in this stress test will fill in paper or electronic questionnaires to provide suggestions for improving and upgrading operation and management services.
