Brief introduction:
Tangshan International Horticultural Exposition 2016(Tangshan IH Expo 2016for short), with the approval of theInternational Association of HorticulturalProducers(AIPH), the agreement of the State Council,P.R.Chinaand the official reply of the Ministry of Commerce,P.R.China, is co-organized by the State Forestry Administration,P.R.China, theChina Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the China Flower Association and the People’s Government of Hebei Province.It will last for 171 days from Apr. 29, to Oct. 16, 2016, and be held at South Lake (Nanhu) Park in Tangshan.It is expected to welcome exhibitors from dozens ofcountries and regions, and10million visitors.
The core area of theTangshanExpo 2016 is located at South Lake (Nanhu) Park (the previous coal mining subsidence area), covering a total area of 540 hectares.The overall plan of the expo park is based on water and the pattern of“one axis, three lines and eight gardens”.Eight gardensaremainly composed of Domestic Pavilion, International Pavilion, Specialized Pavilion,Horticulturist’sPavilion, Ecology Sicience and Education Pavilion, Low-carbon Lifestyle Pavilion, Youth Expo Pavilion and Future Low-carbon Pavilion.Amongthem, the Domestic Pavilion includes 76 gardens such as Hebei Garden, Royal Garden, Modern Garden, Jiangnan Garden, Northwest Garden, Lingnan Garden etc.; and the International Pavilion contains 10 gardens (Britain, Netherlands, French, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Hungary, America, Japan and Korea).With its theme of“City & Nature,PhoenixNirvana”, Tangshan International Horticultural Exposition 2016will highlight that this industrial city is marching intoa new ecological civilization timeof fashion gardening, green and environmental protection and low-carbon lifestyle, as well as reflecting the harmonious coexistence between human and nature.Moreover, by achievements of reconstructing Tangshan after the earthquake, it will demonstrate human’s great power of building a better life after suffering devastated natural disasters.
